All-Sustaining Air - O'Neill, Michael (Department of English, Durham University)

This impressive study provides sensitive close readings of poets including Yeats, Eliot, Stevens, Bishop, Heaney, Muldoon, Mahon, Hill, and Hughes. It shows that Romantic poetry is a dominant presence in their poems. The book will greatly interest those who enjoy the exploration of poetry's attempt to deal with major human and cultural issues.
