Bird Cherry - Roshni Gallagher

Roshni Gallagher is a poet from Leeds living in Edinburgh and this is her debut pamphlet.'Early on, this collection leads you into finding in one river every river you’d ever touched. These poems run as gently as water, and as relentlessly. They cut with the grace and ease of a ship’s keel or sickle blade. Roshni Gallagher has pondered much in her heart: memory; bereavement; nature and nurture in Scotland, Ireland, and Guyana. Astonishingly both light and deep, centred and moving, these are fine lyrics of being-in-place while being-in-between.' - Anthony (Vahni) Capildeo
