Breakfast with Her Excellency and Other Notes of a Zoo Director - Miroslav Bobek

Another of the notebooks of the Director of Prague Zoo, Miroslav Bobek contains over seventy chapters from behind the scenes of a zoological garden, as well as from deserts and rainforests. It will introduce readers to remarkable animals, people and places – and hopefully also bring them to consider our relationship to other living creatures. You will learn a lot of behind-the-scenes information from one of the most awarded zoos in the world. What does the transport of gorilla female entail? How did Prague Zoo look in its early days and how are new houses built? You can rejoice in the birth of pangolins or the return of capybaras. Or you will learn why the famous international football player Karel Poborský played in a football match in Cameroon. Everything is accompanied by unique photographs. The British Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Matt Field, wrote the foreword to the book.
