British Empiricists - Priest, Stephen (Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford, UK)

Stephen Priest's popular introduction to the British Empiricists traces the development of the movement from Hobbes, through Locke, Berkely and Hume, and extends the study to Mill, Russell and Ayer. The new edition includes a new introductory chapter that examines what Empiricism is, placing the rest of the book in context.
