Catechesis

Catechesis is not just about right teaching, it is a cultivation of a living faith. It is the practice of shaping a new vision for one's life, aiding us to see the world as God sees the world. Christian faith and theology are performed in the sacramental, communal, and missional life of the Church, and catechesis is an invitation into this lived reality. This book explores the nature of catechesis and how it can shape the Christian community into an instrument of renewal in the world. Together the contributors demonstrate how the future of catechesis is found in holistic discipleship, examining catechesis in its relationship to Christian worship, teaching, mission and social action, evangelism, preaching, virtue, and the sacraments.
