Colditz Myth - MacKenzie, S. P. (Professor of History at the University of South Carolina)

Drawing on first-hand accounts by many British and Commonwealth ex-POWs, this book aims to go beyond the popular mythology to present a portrait of what it was like to be a 'Kriegie'. Featuring the voices of the men themselves, it explores both the triumphs and the trials and tribulations of POW life inside the Third Reich.
