Elves and Shoemaker - Lloyd Rob Jones

An extended version of a funny, traditional story enriched with delightfully quirky illustrations by John Joven. Watch the mischievous elves as they make beautiful shoes while no one is looking, leaving them in an old shoemaker's workshop. Will he ever find out who has been helping him all this time, and what will happen if he does? Part of the Usborne Reading Programme, which includes over 250 titles across seven levels - all developed in conjunction with reading experts at Roehampton University. The classic tale of the elves and the shoemaker was specially re-written for children starting to read on their own.
