Father Christmas and the Donkey - Elizabeth Clark

Elizabeth Clark's enchanting tale of friendship and kindness will strike a chord with children everywhere. It begins one magical, starry Christmas Eve, when a lonely donkey limps through the frozen grass, searching for food. Suddenly he hears the sound of galloping hooves. Father Christmas appears: he has sent his reindeer home, but he has one more sack of presents to deliver. The donkey offers to help, and together they journey through the glittering, snow covered countryside. When the presents have been delivered, the donkey receives an unexpected gift - something he could never have hoped for: a loving family to give him a home.
