Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales - Hans Christian Andersen

Hans Christian Anderson was perhaps the greatest author of the literary fairy-tale. This wonderful treasury of stories contains more than 25 of his best-known tales, including ''The Snow Queen'', ''The Emperor''s New Suit'' and ''The Red Shoes''. These utterly original stories avoid the moral didacticism and Disney-esque saccharine that fairy tales are often associated with - instead their beauty, tragedy and strangeness have captivated the imagination of readers, both young and old.ABOUT THE SERIES: The Arcturus Classics series brings together high-quality paperback editions of classics works, presented with contemporary graphic cover designs.
