Historical Dictionary of the United Kingdom - Panton, James a Cowlard, Keith A.

The Historical Dictionary of the United Kingdom Volume 2: Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland is an excellent guide to the history of its three important regions, as well as its creation.
