Like Cicadas - Fiore Manni, Emma Sayers

Navigating adolescence just got a whole lot trickier... After finishing her first year of middle school, Teresa feels stuck in childhood, with messy hair and scraped knees. At her family's summer residence, she discovers that even there she is destined to feel out of place: her friends are suddenly into nail polish and boys and even her best friend seems different. Everyone's growing up except for her. Where's the confident, grown-up Teresa she's been waiting to become? Just when she expects the worst summer ever, she meets Agata. She's kind, lovely, and best of all: she makes Teresa's heart race. Delicately exploring diversity and perfectly capturing the joy and hardships of first loves, growing up, and finding your true self, this novel will appeal to fans of Alice Oseman's "Heartstopper".
