Living Lines - Henrik Thaulow

Form drawing, allowing children to understand the idea of a form and encouraging them to recreate it in their own way, is a key principal of Steiner-Waldorf education and its study enriches the teaching of all subjects in the curriculum. This unique book first explains form drawing and its role in Steiner-Waldorf schools, while also tackling practicalities such as advice on suitable paper and pencils. It goes on to offer a wide selection of exercises for Classes 2 to 5, with step-by-step instructions on how they can be taught, arranged both by class and by theme, drawing on examples of pupils' work and images of forms from nature and cultural heritage. Teachers can use these lessons as an inspiring starting point. This fascinating and beautiful book will allow Waldorf educators, at school and home, to confidently teach form drawing to their pupils.
