The Long War je anglicky psaný sci-fi román Stephena Baxtera a Terryho Pratchetta, druhý díl série Long Earth. Generaci po událostech prvního dílu se lidstvo rozšířilo po paralelních Zemích otevřených tzv. Steppingem a mezi nimi proudí obchod i kultura.
Lidstvo formuje Long Earth, ale Long Earth zároveň formuje lidstvo. Vzniká nová „Amerika" zvaná Valhalla, roste napětí vůči vládě Datum Earth a trollové – půvabné bytosti s kolektivní myslí – začínají reagovat na bezohledné vykořisťování. Schyluje se ke krizi, jaká tu ještě nebyla.
