Love Among the Chickens - P. Wodehouse

"Read it at your leisure, when you''re feeling down." — The Paris Review. Stanley Featherstonehaugh Ukridge, one of P. G. Wodehouse''s most beloved characters, debuts in this delightful farce as he launches a chicken ranch and ropes his novelist friend Jeremy Garnet into his scheme. Diseased birds and disaffected creditors notwithstanding, Ukridge remains undaunted while an increasingly flustered Garnet attempts to cultivate a romance with the girl next door. This early novel shows Wodehouse at his charming best.
