Piat pohliadiv na vesnianyi vohon - Oleh Polyakov

The novel *""Five Views of the Spring Fire""* by Ukrainian writer Oleh Polyakov continues the tradition of the new ""fantastical"" prose that the author initiated in his previous works. It is a story about noble Ukrainian hearts, filled with great love for the world and humility towards themselves. Such people will never be mentioned in social media, and this reflects the duality (irony? mystery? whim?) of our world, as their names are already written on the heavenly tablets. Here they are, five of them, sitting by the fire, sipping drinks, smiling, dancing, and we struggle to understand what really brought them together here — was it chance, someone’s will, or fate? This mystery will have to be unraveled as we go through each character’s difficult life — with losses and wounds, disappointment and hope, nobility and love. In the end, five different stories will intertwine into one plot — rough, true, and magical, with the taste of bitter tobacco and poignant tenderness.
