Rural Development in Punjab

This book explores agricultural development in Punjab, explaining why - despite its reputation as one of the most successful rural development experiments - in recent years this success story has been going astray. It examines all the key issues, including stagnating productivity, reduced farm sizes, falling household incomes and depleting groundwater resources.
