Seven Cherokee Myths - Parker, G. Keith

Examining seven myths that grew out of Cherokee culture, this book looks at how they emerged to explain archetypal issues. Each of the seven stories is followed by a history that provides its background, associated rituals, and psychological basis. Grounded in the experience of the American Indian people and their land, the myths tell truth.
