The Flaming Forest - James Oliver Curwood

Antonio Moreno and Ren?e Ador?e feature in Reginald Barker's 1926 American silent movie The Flaming Forest.Sergeant David Carrigan of the Royal Northwest Mounted Police under His Most Excellent Majesty had hummed gently to himself and expressed gratitude for his survival. He was happy to be travelling alone and that his quest would take him more and farther into his beloved Canada over the course of several weeks. Every aspect of the image was painted with a brush of fire in his head for exactly twenty seconds. The girl's face was the whitest he had ever seen, whether it was a live person or a corpse. Despite being a member of the Scarlet Police, namely the "N" Division, David Carrigan only participated in the game because he enjoyed the element of adventure. He didn't adore the law or seek the meagre monthly salary he received in exchange for his commitment to it. The biggest pleasures occurred when he was pursuing a man who was equally or more intelligent than himself. David Carrigan resided in a pitch-black universe where a swarm of invisible mini-devils were launching scorching arrows at his brain. The girl standing over him saw the expression of death itself in his eyes as he struggled and yelled out in opposition to them. Jeanne Marie-Anne Boulain reiterated her claim to be St. Pierre's wife.
