The Gods Lie - Kaori Ozaki

A moving series of graphic tales from Kaori Ozaki featuring a cast of young adults finding hope in their seemingly directionless lives. It''s summer and Natsuru has just turned 11. But everything is going wrong. His mum won''t let him get a pet. His football team has changed coaches. The girls in class are ignoring him. And his home has become lonesome since his mum is busy with work. His life takes a turn for the better just before summer break, when Suzumura, the tallest girl in his class, talks to him and reveals a world tougher, freer and way more fun than his.
