The Old Steam Train (A2+) - Book - Maya G. Leonard

Strictly speaking, old Ned’s junkyard is taboo. But Claire needs some metal parts for a homework project and the junkyard is just the best place to look. However, she doesn't just find a few pieces of metal, she finds something much bigger, more exciting… A real old rusty steam train! Claire tells her friends Rosie and George about the train, but when a ghostly face appears in the carriage window, the children find themselves in a story of secrets, friendship and family tragedies. Can they put the pieces of the puzzle together and solve the mystery of the steam train?
