Ulčákův rok / Ulčák´s Year – Zbyněk Ulčák

The third and genuinely the last collection of verses by an overripe author whose finest creative years were a figment of his imagination. The garden haiku by our poet from Orlová is written with a hoe and sung with a lawn mower. It´s being published in a Czech-English edition, so even a foreign lover of poetry has the right to take delight in our Maestro´s verses: In the soil lies garlic divine / I found the truth in wine / life´s ambitions are no fucking use / garlic, hens, leeks give me my dues.
