Woman in History - Berg, Maxine (University of Warwick)

This 1996 book is a fascinating biography of Eileen Power, a major British historian who once ranked alongside Tawney, Trevelyan and Toynbee. It describes Power's remarkable intellectual and scholarly achievements, and sets her historical writing firmly in the political and cultural framework of the interwar years.
