Barefoot with Scorpions - Stephen F. Robinson

Stylish, psychologically complex and brutal from the outset, 'Barefoot with Scorpions'is a gripping journey into the dark heart of American politics and the seedyunderbelly of special interest lobbying. Deep within the halls of power inWashington DC and Austin, Texas, shadowy elites maneuver to protect andpreserve the carbon fuel economy... and will stop at nothing to keep a firm gripon the reins of power. But their dark scheme has failed to consider a criticalthreat to their plan: The determinationof a lone warrior. Leg Zalizo is one such individual. A former United StatesMarine Raider. A man grieving the loss of the woman he loved and haunted by apast plagued by violent tragedy... a man who takes no prisoners. From thefashionable streets of the nation's capital to the frontier towns of the Texaspanhandle... from the arid badlands of New Mexico to the sultry bayous ofLouisiana... an epic battle begins.
