Gifted: Out of Sight, Out of Mind - Marilyn Kaye

Meadowbrook Middle School's Queen of Mean, 13-year-old Amanda Beeson, awakens in the body of her favourite target: Tracey Devon. Forced to experience the neglect she once inflicted, Amanda soon uncovers Tracey’s startling secret—the ability to turn invisible. Trapped in Tracey's life, Amanda finds herself in a bizarre "gifted" class, and it becomes clear that at Meadowbrook, the definition of "gifted" has a whole other meaning. Can Amanda rescue her one-time target from obscurity and get her own life back on track? Perfect for young readers who enjoy a mix of school drama and paranormal adventure, this light-hearted action-adventure series was adapted into a hit BBC television drama in 2025. Gifted Meadowbrook Middle School is an ordinary school with ordinary students-except for the Nine. These students look like the others, but they're not. You could call it a skill, a talent or a disadvantage, but each of these students is unique—they're gifted. Marilyn Kaye is an acclaimed author of young adult and middle-grade fiction, best known for her “Replica,” “Gifted,” and “Out of This World” series.
