Readers and Writers in Ovid's Heroides - Spentzou, Efrossini (, Lecturer in Classics, Royal Holloway, University of London)

Reconstructs the experiences of the abandoned heroines of the "Heroides". This work isolates the voices of landmark female figures of the classical myth, releasing them from Ovid's male text. Bringing together a range of ancient and modern critical thought, it talks about gender, genre, writing, and reading women and men.
