Seven Wives And Seven Prisons - L. A. Abbott

Seven Wives and Seven Prisons: or, Experiences in the Life of a Matrimonial Monomaniac, A True Story, written by L.A. Abbott. The struggles of a self-described "matrimonial monomaniac"-a man who is hopelessly addicted to marriage-are detailed in this incredibly hilarious memoir. But instead of marital bliss and a happily ever after, Abbott's marriages typically end with him doing time in jail. The author asserts that this work is based on a genuine account of his seven weddings to various women, including the humorous and outrageous circumstances that led to each of those unions as well as their frequent breakdowns and failures that put him in jail. This book is both a humorous description of the author's wacky escapades and a highly tongue-in-cheek diatribe/lament/report of his obsessive enthusiasm for "marrying the right one." From well-known classics, literary fiction, and non-fiction, to lost or unrecognized treasures of international literature.
