The Aftershock Review - Max Wallis

The Aftershock Review: Issue Three is bigger, stranger, riskier and more tender: a major new issue from the poetry magazine described by The Guardian as "a jolt to the mainstream." Featuring an ambitious range of established and emerging poets, Issue Three moves through grief, illness, recovery, addiction, queerness, class, desire, ecological dread, family, survival and the unstable architectures of hope. The poems gathered here do not look away from rupture. They ask what it means to live after it, inside it, and sometimes because of it. Expansive, urgent and emotionally exacting, Issue Three confirms The Aftershock Review as one of the most distinctive new poetry magazines in the UK.
